Rachmaninoff Piano Music For You! - Prelude Op. 3 No. 2 in C# Minor - Enjoy with Troy!
Sergei Rachmaninoff's is perhaps most known for his Prelude in C-sharp minor Op. 3, No. 2 . The musical structure is in an (ABA) form with 62 bars in length. It is part of a Morceaux de fantaisie which is a five piece set. since the beginning appears to replicate the Kremlin's most solemn carillon chimes it has become known as The Bells of Moscow This prelude was first debuted in 1892 at a Moscow festival. Over time the popular interest of the song grew. Rachmaninoff wrote and published 23 additional preludes to complete a set of 24 representing all major and minor key signatures.
After completing piano study at the Moscow Conservatory, Rachmaninoff completed this work at the age of 19. This song has been used by musician in all styles of music. Examples include jazz legend Charles Mingus, The Beasty Boys and movie music in addition to the conventional famous pianists recordings thought history.
