I am really a music addict! Listening to great tunes for 4 to 12 hours a day is something that happens pretty often to me.

And as I just love to discover some amazing new musicians and bands, I thought I'd share some of them with you from time to time.

Today I would like to present you 10 amazing musiscians/bands with a stunning female voice.

Some of them are mystic, some full of energy and some are as gentle as the first snowflakes in winter, bringing an atmosphere of fairytales and magic to us.

1. Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born 1996 in Norway, is so much more than a musician to me! The girl with the magical name wrote her first songs when she was still a child. Her song „Runaway“ for example was written by her when she was only 11 or 12 years old!

Besides her natural talent for finding just the right words to express everything that goes through her mind and to deeply touch people with her lyrics and music, she has a voice as pure and magical that it sounds almost like out of this world.

Her emotions she puts into her songs, her facial expressions, passion and bodylanguage and just the way she is are so unique that there is no other chance than loving her!

2. Larkin Poe

The two charming sisters Megan and Rebecca Lovell from Atlanta really feel the blues!
Named after their great-great-great grandfather they fascinate their audience with some blues, gluegrass and country influenced songs with a lot of heart, energy and an amazing groove!

3. Ivy Levan

Ivy Levan is not only a great singer and songwriter with a sexy, cheeky and charming charsima, but also a model and actress.
Her voice is always top notch, clear, beautiful and a bit dirty. The way she moves, looks and dresses are simply stunning and when you see her you can't help yourself but think: Wow, she and her voice are gorgeous!

A rockabella retro charme combined with amazing talent and a sassy but very hot and sympathic vibe is what makes Ivy so special!

4. Cellar Darling

Cellar Darling was founded by the three former „Eluveitie“ members Anna Murphi, Ivo Henzi and Merlin Sutter from Switzerland.

Anna hasn't only a very beautiful and enchanting voice and charisma, she also plays a rare instrument: The hurdy gurdy!

Together they create a very unique and absolutely catchy sound with lyrics that invite you to a whole new world. Singing about all the things that inspire them, they present you one musical highlight after the other taking you on a journey into their own magical, mystical and exciting cosmos.

Anna (who has a solo music project called „Anna Murphy“) is also an audio engineer which makes their sound extremely professional and vivid.

Absolutely worth listening to!

5. Tori Amos

Tori Amos is one of my all time favourite musicians! Why? Because her voice is so special and touching that I get the goosebumps everytime I listen to her magical songs and her skills in playing the piano are priceless!

Her lyrics often are very poetic and leave you some space for interpretation. Some are sad, some happy and funny, some very mystic – but they all are extremely deep and emotional.

By listening to her songs and watching her live concerts you can really hear and see the passion she has for making music and how much of herself and her emotions she puts into her masterpieces!

Her red, celtic looking hair, her crystal blue eyes, her vibes and her whole presence just leave you in an awe.

This woman is a living miracle and true musical highlight.

6. Alice Phoebe Lou

The lovely singer from South Africa sounds like a fairy. Her songs are so pure, moving and wonderful that you can't keep yourself from closing your eyes and get lost in her voice.

With the sound of her musical journey which is so gentle and yet full of energy that it is the perfect one for dreaming, traveling, working, dancing and so much more, she invites you to escape from everyday's life.

Follow her into her beautiful acoustic universe apart from ordinary music and get enchanted!

7. Sofi Tukker

The due from New York, consisting of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern has a sound that does not fit in a boring common mold and can not be put in a drawer of only one style of music.

The fresh, expressive, catchy and hip sound of them and their style are definately an ear worm and an eye catcher!

Sophie sometimes even sings in Portuguese which makes their songs even more interesting to listen to. The poetic songs combined with the jungle-rock-blues sound and electronic influences creates an amazing style with big recognition value.

8. She Owl

Here we have a brilliant duo again, but this time from Italy.

Their sound is one of the most mystical ones I have ever heard. A mix between dark folk, psychedelic music and music from around the world using rare and magical sounding instruments like the Kalimba create an atmosphere that will blow your mind, invite you to dream of distant worlds and feel like being part of a shamanic celebration at the same time.

9. The Broken Circle Breakdown

I know this amazing and moving bluegrass band from the deeply touching movie „The Broken Circle“ which I can highly reccomend you to watch (better have some tissues as I cried like a baby watching it).

Since I watched it I simply can not stop listening to their brilliant blues and bluegrass sound and sing along with Veerle Baetens.

Some of their songs reach you deep down your heart and some of them make your feet dance! But all of their songs are real treasures.

10. Rising Appalachia

Rising Appalachia is a band lead by the two sisters and singers Leah and Chloe Smith. While making music with different artists and instruments from around the world, they create many, many stunning and highly valuable masterpieces influenced by life around the world itself.

Their style can't really be described by words but must be felt, danced, loved and celebrated.

There's so much soul, heart, love and good vibes in their songs that it feels truly healing, motivating, happy making and inspiring to listen to them.
