KRATE

krate is one of those recent projects that show how the internet connects musicians from all over the world, and brings the best out of them. Krate was born in late 2017 when Chris Shortt (VERIN) and Roland Zwaga (Acidrodent, Construct) began discussing a collaboration. The initial concept was to compose a dark ambient project between the two. After the first stems were exchanged, however, they both quickly agreed that a rhythmic element would be required to augment the sounds thus far created, leading to the abandonment of the original ambient goal.

Swarm of Voices

A couple of months ago they released their debut, Swarm of Voices. The album received some very good reviews, but as usual with independent artists in the harder scenes. It reached little momentum. And that is something that we as a collective of music lovers, should do something about. Because without independent music, we will hear nothing else but the same shitty edm dancehall r&b fuck fusion.

Swarm of Voices is packed with great songs and collaborations with some of the best and most innovative artists out there in the industrial, IDM & Ambient scene.
