Genius or Villain: Kanye West!
"Genius is taking the complex and making it simple."- Albert Einstein.
WHAT IS GENIUS?
For this article, we are not here to go into the educational block but to simply look into the question whether Kanye West is a Genius or a Villain. I know some persons here will want to use the kind of definition that gets you thinking.
So lets hear it. Anyway, it is worthy of note to say that whenever one talks about Genius, Einstein immediately comes to mind.
Genius is defined as a very smart or talented person : a person who has a level of talent or intelligence that is very rare or remarkable.
My definition is simple and I think you will like it. Genius is 1% knowledge, 1% creativity and 98% madness. I personally think, the creative space is richly entertaining given its hundreds of madly over reaching minds.
KANYE WEST, GENIUS OR VILLAIN.
Kanye West has been hailed as many things. Some say he is a genius while some say he is mad and the later seems to take the lead in the debate about his personality.
I like Kanye and the talk if he is a genius or a villain is not mine to assert, but that of you the readers. So what do you think? is Kanye West a Genius or Villain?
Kanye West is an artist who's had the glaring lens of international media shining on him at every possible moment throughout his decade plus career, everyone with internet access has, at some point in their life, discussed the merits and misfortunes of Kanye West. Whether that discussion is lengthy and detailed or short and dismissive is irrelevant; it’s hard to deny that West’s bold and brazen character is one that invites debate. Source
In October 2002, he was involved in an accident that saw him undergo a reconstructive surgery for his face. Kanye was laid up in the hospital for weeks. He had no health insurance, paying for everything out of pocket.
Weeks after the accident, Kanye West would go back to the studio, loop up Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire” and create “Through the Wire,” a song he rapped with a broken jaw. However, 2002 was not the year for Kanye West, but 2003 was a bang. and the beginning of a flourishing and profiting career in music and subsequently fashion.
Since then, he has released hit tracks and went on to collaborate with the best in the music industry and fashion industry that has changed and influence the world.
He called out then President Bush during the devastating Hurricane Katrina and pointedly stated George Bush doesn't like black people, a statement the ex-president said was unfair to him.
He married Kim Kardashian, who is known for her infamous sex tape with Ray Jay and her love for craving the spotlight even in her birthday suit. Many actually called that union the end of Kanye, but 4 years and 2 kids after, he remains in the limelight courting controversy and making great hits and clothes.
There is so much to his life ranging from his famous VMA drama where he walked up on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift, to that time he came out to declare his intention to run for the Presidency of the United States to series of meltdown that even saw him asking Mark Zuckerberg for money.
After that meltdown, he released one of the most anticipated album of all time, The Life of Pablo, (TLOP).
This page will not be enough to talk about his madness and genius, but it will be just enough to ask; is Kanye West a Genius or Villain?
Until next time when I bring you another series, keep being you and Steem on!

Kanye is probably a slightly crazy genius.
I'm a big Yeezus fan, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but the guy is definitely talented.
He's been incredibly successful at shaping the sound of hip hop over the last decade, and for all the craziness; I find his earnestness very refreshing.
Although I guess it's just all down to perception. One man's tortured genius is another man's raving villain eh?
Rightly said, his talent cannot be ignored and the interpretation of Yeezus is based on the individual doing the interpreting. Every genius has a bit of crazy in em.

Most people associate "genius" with academics but I say it's more of being an expert in one's own field. Kanye, being in the entertainment industry is definitely an expert in his industry. Although we may not like it, I'm pretty sure he does a lot of things with the sole intention of marketing. He knows how to create attention to himself and his craft. He's definitely a genius.
