Trying to keep a living stream going......

One of many musical projects i am involved with " The Living Stream"

During the recording of our first album at the wonderful Greenfield Studio in the west of Ireland, what can only be described as a musical meeting of minds took place.
Within minutes of the first note being struck upon, we all knew something special was about to happen.
The atmosphere tingled with anticipation.

Rehearsals had been extremely short and this recording session was only the 2nd time all 8 of us had played together as a whole, yet somehow the energy rose through us, to quickly unveiled a common thread of song and feeling.
This feeling was pounced upon by a group of the finest musicians i know, and over a five hour period of one afternoon we laid an entire album down to track.
The feeling was electric, the concentration went well beyond words.
Notes skipped around the room through the most perfect silence and you could feel every cell in your body resonating in sympathy with the beat.
It was beyond us at that point and our rehearsal gave way to some kind of ancient musical spirit that let loose into the room we sat in, to commanded our playing.
Each note was played better than the last and tone gave way to beat, with a fluidity we hadn't intended nor expected.
The end result was a fantastic recording with the feel of a live album that we as a group are increasingly proud of.......
