New found artist Support on Steemit
Dear Steemians we write to you today with great news!!!
We are De Wallen, a rock & roll band from Stellenbosch, South Africa. We have only been on Steemit for about 3/4 days but as a band that is purely here to promote our music and learn from others experiences, it has been hard to really get any activity on our posts, as much of Steemit is focused on Cryptos and photos. Until this morning...
As we started doing our normal rounds of checking out the platform and interacting with users we stumbled across two very cool posts, especially for musos, and the part we have been missing in the Steemit community.
Firstly, The Steemit Artist Music Compilation by @soundlegion.
A compilation of original works by artists on Steemit, what better way to help promote original artists and their music than getting everyone together on one post and getting people involved with getting to know their music. If you have original music you would like to promote by submitting it to the Steemit Artist Music Compilation the just follow this link to the full post.
Then number two that we are very excited about as it is not very conventional for this to be done online.
The Open Mic on Steemit by @luzcypher and sponsored by @pfunk.
Every week you have the oppertunity to submit a video performance of yourself to be put up on their post and by means of upvotes and the quality of the performance, they award Steem to the best three performers. The upside about this is that it's not only for original artists but for people that do covers, instrumentals, and even accapella.
So don't be afraid to interact, get chatting and get involved in helping us to build a bigger, better and more supportive music community on Steemit.

I think theyll tweak the site as time goes on for better interaction. Can you post videos now or what?
You can post the video via your Youtube Channel, so all you do is copy the url of your video in your story and bam its there, you can check out some of our older posts where we have music videos in the post.

Welcome to Steemit, and great you have music on top of your list to bring to Steemit. Music somehow is a little undervalued at Steemit, although I think we have quite a few Steemians that likes music. Wish you all the success. Looking forward to some recordings of you.
Thanks, yes we also feel that way at the moment, but we're sure that as the platform grows it will get better. Feel free to check out our channel we have some music on there and we will be uploading more as we go.
