Brevard Renaissance Fair 2017 - The Jackdaws - Johnny Jump Up (2017-02-04)

The Jackdaws perform their rendition of 'Johnny Jump Up' at the 2017 Brevard Renaissance Fair.

'Johnny Jump Up' is an Irish drinking song written by Tadhg Jorda from County Cork, Ireland. The song has a number of local references and it was even rumored that a particular pub had paid him to write the song to drum up more business (though this is probably not true). The song was later popularized by Jimmy Crowley and Christy Moore who are both famous Irish folk singers. Since then it has been covered by a plethora of bands including The Jackdaws above.
