The Secret of Playing Music....
There is a deep magic required in playing music well, and it has nothing to do with either talent or skill. What a living, breathing music requires is the full honesty of your presence. It needs to be born from the center of your being, made up of all of your grief and joy and anger and wonder. From this place, your music becomes a witness and an advocate of the beauty and pain of your story. This is the kind of music that can transform worlds.
Do not allow the idea that music is only for the skilled to keep you from your power. Start where you are, and let your music out. Make talent and skill the disciples, and allow the heart to be the master.
