Reckless Love 'Animal Attraction' (Mercury /Spinefarm Records, 2011)
Reckless Love is Olli Herman's band (also known as Oliver Twisted). It was founded in Finland in 2001 before Oliver Herman joined Crashdïet as a replacement of their singer, Dave Lepard who committed suicide in January 2006. Herman recorded 'The Unattractive Revolution' with Crashdïet but after it he left the band and centered again his work in Reckless Love.
'Animal Attraction' was the 2nd release of Reckless Love, in this album they follow the way opened with the first work 'Reckless Love' with lot of influences from the 80s. No one can deny that the song 'Animal Attraction' sounds like Def Leppard.
The first single of the album was 'Hot'. I think it wasn't the best song to be a single because does not represent the band so well, looks like they wanted a song to be consumed for all kind of people not only fans of hard-rock and I think it fails in the sound they use. It has a good chorus, it is catchy, maybe too much catchy, but it's a mix of styles trying to be comercial. I think that if this song had been played in a pure hard-rock sound it had been more successful. But is just an opinion
But this album has really good songs, like 'Speedin' or 'Fight' that sound like Motley Crüe

Or a 80s hard-rock song that can remind you Bon Jovi, 'Born To Break Your Heart'
Definitely a worth exploring album for 80s hard-rock fans. Nothing new, nothing that haven't done before old hard-rock bands in the 80s, but really a good album to enjoy if you pump up the volume to the maximum.
