Music Discovery Monday: An Endless Sporadic

One of my favorite things is discovering music, old and new. Here's an attempt to share non-mainstream music that I liked, tentatively weekly.

The first edition: An Endless Sporadic

An Endless Sporadic is an instrumental progressive rock duo formed by Zach Kamins and Andy Gentile. They recorded their first EP in 2008, apparently as an online collaboration, with Zach on Guitars, Bass and Keyboards, and Andy on Drums.

They managed to include Impulse as a bonus track on Guitar Hero 3 and Sun of Pearl on Tony Hawk: American Wasteland, gaining a small amount of exposure.

In 2009 they recorded a new album, self-titled, and recently released Magic Machine, an album which contains a few tracks featuring Dream Theater's keyboardist Jordan Rudess.

In fact, Endless Sporadic reminds me a lot of Jordan's previous project, Liquid Tension Experiment.

So give it a try if you like several minute long progressive tracks with intricate guitar work. I liked it!
