Incredible you are sharing this @stillgideon. I never read a post so attentively, this is beautiful knowledge. I don't understand how just glue will make this connection strong enough and to be honest, i tried a few times to plane 2 sides to make them fit together, it didn't look good. There is clearly more art and experience behind the words and pictures. Will resteem.
Thanks @bubke . Yes, it's easier said than done, but practice helps. Most of the joinery in guitar making is fairly basic, but this join has to be a really good close fit, otherwise it won't be strong enough. Good point. I'm glad you're paying attention!
