🎧 Crowdfunding Campaign for a Friend's Festival - TAM TAM - Island of Hvar, Croatia 🎧

Hey people, this is a festival we're playing on this summer. I've played there already a couple of times and this is where we usually go for vacation. It's a small festival, but with a beatiful atmosphere. People, musicians, from all over the place, hanging around, playing, going to the beach, while the place itself during the winter has 250 folks. So it's really quiet and peaceful in comparison to the other places on the Croatian coast, even during the summer. Anyway, they have started a crowdfunding campaign this year, it's always tough with the money. I have told him I will publish it on Steemit and send him the funds if this posts earns something. We made this campaign to raise funds for the Tam-Tam Music Festival in Croatia, which is held every summer on the island of Hvar. Apart from being the longest and definitely the sunniest on our coast, Hvar is also one of the most beautiful Croatian islands. In 2017, the Tam-Tam Festival will hopefully be held for the fifth time in a small place on the island called Sućuraj, with not more than 250 inhabitants during the winter.Although the number of tourists in the summer increases the population on Hvar by 7 times or more, the main tourist action is still on the western side of the island. Sućuraj, located on the far east of the island, is known for its quiet, easy-going Mediterranean atmosphere and people of all ages socializing with tourists in the local taverns. The island was isolated in some periods of its history, as many other islands on the Croatian coast, due to war, economic scarcity or simply its geographic position. Sućuraj, on the other hand, is closer to the coast than the western part of the island and therefore easily accessible by car or public transport. A few friends born in Sućuraj, but frequently traveling to Split and other cities, became very passionate about bringing an alternative music festival to Sućuraj. A music festival was the logical thing since music is an important part of their lives and a medium for connecting people and cultures. It is only poetic justice that a rather isolated place on an island holds a festival that brings together people and bands from Croatia, the Balkans and Europe, don't you think?Tam-Tam Music Festival has already become a known event among music lovers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia. Due to the lack of a language barrier, the visitors have a chance to hear various styles of music; from surf and post-punk to noise rock from the Balkan region -  indie and alternative music different from "easy notes music" that many people listen to in these countries.In the last five years, the festival brought more than twenty notable bands from France, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Croatia. The audience consisted of the locals from Sućuraj, rockers from Makarska, Ploče and other nearby cities and tourists, of which some came exclusively for the festival. Still, it is a small festival with not more than 400 tickets sold every year and we would like to keep it small and intimate. Your support is very important for us because it will enable us to pay the travel costs of the artists and to improve the overall infrastructure of the festival site. This year we plan to build a cosy camp with all infrastructure called camp "TAMp" where visitors can practice yoga every day and enjoy live music from DJ's acts.  We would like to improve the conditions for our guest bands and the festival visitors. We have support from the local municipality
in the form of a small donation up to 1 500 USD. You could reasonably say that we already have the basics, but your help would really make a visible difference for everybody attending the festival. In our photo gallery and the attached video you can see the setting up of the stage with band members as volunteers. We understand completely why that is charming for our guests, but the main reason for that way of functioning were financial constraints. We would like to have a budget of at least 8 000  USD at our disposal so we can build a proper stage with protection from wind and rain. Hvar is the sunniest island, but you never know...The funds raised through this campaign we will spend to buy the necessary material for building the camp with necessary infrastructure to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible, and to buy the materials needed for the construction which we will use to cover the stage in case of bad weather and rain. Each year we face the same risks, mostly ones we have no influence on, such as bad weather and ferries breaking down. Also, if this campaign reaches its goal a part of the funds will be spent for the volunteers  that we engaged for the first time this year to help us building the camp.We prepared a rich set of perks for our supporters. Perks are named by models of popular TAM trucks.
