As we know Music is an art that combine sounds and silence to make a good rythme.

But music is also a world language that unit all sort of people. The music open our hearts to tolerence and love and make us friendly and open with others.

And the most beautiful thing is that music express all sort of feelings and it's a heritage of history and stories.

Chaâbi orchestre

The Chaâbi :

the Chaâbi is the most loved music in my country Algeria .

it is derived from the Arab-Andalusian music and has appeared in 1920 in the Casbah of Algiers.

chaâbi means in arabic 'popular'. and it's named like this because lyrice areall about popular poems that relate love, loss,exile religious and life experiences stories.

Chaabi is part of a deeply conservative tradition and its lyrics often carrying a strong moral message.

instruments:

The chaâbi uses the following musical instruments:

two percussion instruments namely the derbouka and the tar

but also the chaâbi mandole (typically Algerian instrument, a kind of big mandolin with guitar sounds, equipped with a long neck with four double strings in metal)

the violin and the banjo , ney (reed flute) and qanûn.

The violinists of Arabo-Andalusian and Chaabi always use their violin vertically.

As for the mandole, it replaced the kouitra (instrument of the Arab-Andalusian music Algerian).

It is not uncommon to hear the piano too. On the other hand, no electric instrument is allowed, except sometimes the keyboard for its practical side.
