On May 6,2005. Audioslave became first American rock band whom perform in Cuba,since 1981. and the concert of The Fabulous Titans.
It's not coincidence that 3 members of Audioslave are former R.A.T.M. musicians,who had same political views like Cuba and their leaders.

Set list was made of songs from first two Audioslave albums,three song from Soundgarden (Spoonman,Black Hole Sun,performed by Chris Cornell solo on acoustic guitar,and Outshined),and medley of R.A.T.M. songs Bulls On Parade/Sleep Now In The Fire in instrumental form.

That was longest Audioslave concert ever performed,in front of over 70,000 people.

On October 11,2005. this show was released on dvd,simply called Audioslave - Live In Cuba.
Very special thing on dvd is 37. minute long documentary based on time band had spend in Cuba.
You can see Tom jamming with local musicians,Tim riding mountain bike,Chris sitting next to statue of John Lennon...
I watch it few times so far and it always amuses me.

Also documentary is not available on you tube,shame i was planned to share it with you.
Maybe this post make you encourage you to buy dvd,with that i will be very happy.

I wish that this band lasted longer,and released more than 3 albums,but life is just unpredictable.
Chris left Audioslave to relived his solo career,and that really didn't work for him.
And after two bad albums,especially album Scream where he recorded some r'n'b' mainstream shit he brings back Soundgarden in 2010.and recorded comeback album King Animal.

R.I.P. Chris Cornell.
