Cuts of the Day || Samba and Fronteiras by DJ LILOCOX

Today I want to share two cuts I love very much. It's mutant music and that's​ what I really love. 'Samba' and 'Fronteiras' are part of Paz & Amor by DJ LILOCOX, released 25 May 2018, on Príncipe Discos, a Portuguese label.

The Label Príncipe Discos was born seven years ago to give national visibility to the new Afro-Portuguese electronic music.
It was through Prince Discos that names like DJ Marfox, Dj Nigga Fox, DJ Firmeza, Piquenos Djs do Gueto, and also Nídia, Niagara, DJ Nervoso, Puto Márcio (Tia Maria Produções) and DJ Lilocox stood out, both nationally as intended, and also internationally! All art is created by Márcio Matos

PRÍNCIPE is a record label based in Lisbon, Portugal. It is fully dedicated to releasing 100% real contemporary dance music coming out of this city, its suburbs, projects & slums. New sounds, forms and structures with their own set of poetics and cultural identity.
We want to make sure that the amazing work being produced here, be it house, techno, kuduro, batida, kizomba, funaná, tarrachinha or any other new aesthetic development, will not remain unheard outside of our clubs, cellphones and homes anymore. All artwork conceived & executed by Márcio Matos. All copies individually stenciled & handpainted – so each record is unique. All sound mastering was done with philosophy by Tó Pinheiro da Silva, veteran Portuguese sound genius, at his home studio.
