In this post I will give you few tips about how to get more followers on Soundcloud when you are broke.

Tip #1 - Follow to follow

Since you get notification when someone follows you on Soundcloud this is great way to get attention of people. Basiclly when you follow someone they will check your profile and hopefully they will follow you back. Also you get their attention and they will in some cases listen to your music.

Make sure you dont follow more then 100 people in 24 hours because you will get banned and wont be able to follow for some time.

You need to follow specific people who like music similar to yours. So if you make dubstep you will open an artist that makes dubstep music and open their followers tab and follow up to 100 people per day

You can follow up to 2000 people on Soundcloud so after you reach cap you need to unfollow people and then repeat the process.

Tip #2 - Repost channels

There is tons of free repost channels that are made to help out musicians. In most cases you need to follow their repost channel and message them link to your music. If they like it and think it will fit the repost channel they will repost it.

Its also important to build connection with repost channel admin for your future work.

Tip #3 Repost for repost

Find people that have almost as much followers as you do and make a deal that you will repost their music if they repost yours. This is great way to get exposure and build reletionships with other artist. You need to work together....

Tip #4 Message people

When you have made a new music, message the people that areledy reposted, liked or commented on previus work with kind message and link to your music. They like your music and they will in some cases like you even better,so they follow you.

Tip #4 Comment and like other people music

Aside from following someone to get their attentions be sure to like and comment on other peoples music. They will get notificiation and in some cases give you back support... Be kind.

Tip #4 Free downloads

Set up download gate so when someone wants to download your music they need to give you something in exchange. That exchange will probobly be like,follow, repost track. There is tons of websites that offers you download gate and I will give you links of this sites. This is great way to get more exposure.

Tip #5 Make new music every month maximum

You need to be able to create music fast as possible because you need to maintain the hype. This is probobly my biggest mistake that I have done. Creating one track and then not uploading music for months.

Upload music on weekly basis to maintain the hype. You can upload short demos if you dont have time for full tracks (You can delete your music anytime so dont worry).
