Unlängst habe ich bereits in zwei Beiträgen beschrieben, wie wichtig mir das Thema Freiheit generell - also somit auch in der Musik ist. Glücklicherweise habe ich damals Musikgeschichte "live" miterlebt als musikalische Freiheit Anfang der 90er bestens in der Revolution der Musikwelt durch die Techno Bewegung gelebt und ausgelebt werden konnte.
Unter dem Begriff "Techno" verstand man damals eine ganze Reihe musikalischer "Styles", die heute eher als eigene Musikrichtung gelten, wie z.B. Trance, Acid House, Gabba etc.. Leider ist es heute im Gegensatz zur Anfangszeit der Bewegung nahezu undenkbar, daß ein (Top-)DJ alle Facetten des Techno in einem Set unnterbringen könnte.

Dieser "Spirit" kam traurigerweise schleichend abhanden, als sich die einzelnen Strömungen immer mehr voneinander abgrenzten - bis sich Gruppen gebildete hatte, die untereinander gar nicht mehr wohl gesonnen waren. :-( Und schon waren auch die "musikalischen Oberaufseher" nicht mehr fern, die anderen vorschreiben wollten, was zu hören sei. Ein großes Stück der gerade gewonnenen musikalischen Freiheit ging vorerst wieder verloren...

Diese Mechanismen der Entzweiung, die ich damals auf musikalischer Ebene in der Techno Szene schon beobachten konnte, erlebe ich nun auch in der gesamten Gesellschaft. War es in der Techno-Szene eher noch "Kindergarten", ist in unserer Gesellschaft von sehr großer Tragweite. Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Ansichten reden teilweise schon gar nicht mehr miteinander. Die Fronten scheinen derart verhärtet zu sein, daß bereits ein Riss durch die Gesellschaft geht.

Ich würde auch soweit gehen, daß das Recht auf freie Rede und Meinungsfreiheit im Zuge dessen bereits in großer Gefahr ist. Dieses hohe Gut und dieser unverzichtbare Baustein der Freiheit, darf unserer Gesellschaft nicht abhanden kommen und muß jedem Einzelnen in vollem Umfang zustehen. Und hier spanne ich den Bogen wieder zurück in die Welt der Technomusik:

Bereits 1992 haben sich die Arpeggiators aus dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet des wichtigen Themas "Freedom Of Expression" angenommen. Diese Hymne erschien als eine der ersten Tracks auf dem berühmten Eye-Q Sub-Label "Harthouse".

Der Track in dem DTube Video heißt ebenfalls "Freedom Of Expression" und ist eine Komposition und Produktion von mir, und entstand als Homage an das freiheitliche Gefühl, das ich Anfang der 90er verspürte.
Veröffentlicht wurder er unter meinem Pseudonym Sonic Society.

Recently I have already described in two articles how important the topic of freedom is to me in general - also in music. Fortunately, I experienced music history "live" at that time as musical freedom at the beginning of the 90s could best be lived out in the revolution of the music world through the techno movement. A large part of the musical freedom that had just been gained was lost again for the time being...

These mechanisms of divisiveness, which I could already observe on a musical level in the techno scene at that time, I now unfortunately also experience in the entire society. While in the techno scene it was rather "kindergarten", in our society it is of very great importance. Some people with different views even stop talking to each other. The fronts seem to be so hardened that there is already a rift in society.

I would also go so far as to say that the right to free speech and freedom of expression is already in great danger. This great good and this indispensable building block of freedom must not be lost by our society and every individual must be entitled to its full extent. And here I draw the bow back into the world of techno music:
