Summerfest is the Worlds Largest music festival, with 8 main stages and 1 massive amphitheater, featuring 213 well know musicians, over 11 days! It's located at the Henry Maier Festival Park, on Lake Michigan lakefront, in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My brother Andy and I got VIP passes as mentioned in my Summerfest by day post. Let me show you what Summerfest is like at night, from the VIP decks!

Captain's Private Deck #1

Andy and I caught the first half of Ziggy Marley concert, before going to see Ludacris. If only we would have known Ziggy Marley was going to put on a better performance then Ludacris, we would have stayed at the Captain's Private Deck. Oh well that's the best part about Summerfest, if the performer your there to see starts to suck, you just make the 1 minute walk to the next stage with another relatively well know performer.

Captain's Private Deck #2

Two days later Andy and I went again this time we went to the other private deck at a different stage to check out IshDARR!
We were both impressed on how IshDARR brought up a wide array of musicians to play woodwinds, brass, string and of course percussion instruments. His show was significantly better than the Ludacris concert we saw two days earlier. Honestly I had no idea who IshDARR was until my brother told me about him. I'm not the biggest rap music fan but clearly the Milwaukee native is well known in his home city.

Third Eye Blind

Third Eye Blind started to play on a different stage 30 minutes before IshDARR so we decided to see them play the few songs we knew before heading over to IshDARR and we did just that! They finished Jumper right as IshDARR started. I might have stayed if they had a VIP deck at that stage, but thankfully they didnt and I got to see someone new, put on the best performance I saw all Summerfest!

Summerfest is still a great time even if you don't have VIP passes. I also saw Dispatch this year without the VIP passes and had a blast!
