Saraswati, ist im Yoga bekannt als die Göttin des Lernens und der Weisheit.

Ihr Göttergatte ist Brahma, der Schöpfergott.

Als die Frau an seiner Seite wird sie ebenso zur Mutter der gesamten Schöpfung.

Das Wort "Saraswati" heißt soviel wie: diejenige, die Essenz (sara) des eigenen Selbst (swa) gibt, auch schlicht "die Fließende".
