Everyone, at one point in life wished of being a billionaire. Those fancy cars, big mansions, jet, yatch, designer clothes are the kind of things most people wanted. Well, I used the word "most" because there might be some who don't want that life. Anyway, this song is about those who want to be billionaires. It's a motivational song and has been top of my list this week. It was released recently by one of Nigeria's finest, Teni Makanaki. She won the next rated artist in headies award last year and has been consistent ever since. Let me share some lyrics - the chorus first.

I wanna be a billionaire, billionaire yeah yeah
Iyalaya anybody oh, anybody oh yeah
Otedola o lori meji oh, lori meji oh yeah
I wanna be a billionaire, billionaire yeah yeah

You can flow with this. It has a nice beat you can too. In generally, it's a happy song and reason people love it. The second line in the chorus is referring to anyone that says she won't be a billionaire. Although she didn't complete the sentence, but the "Iyalaya" placed in front indicates she is about to curse whoever feels she won't be very rich. The third line means Otedola doesn't have two heads. Femi Otedola is one of Nigeria's billionaires. The message is pretty clear; she wants to be a billionaire, anyone shouldn't underrate her and those that are billionaires didn't come to life with two heads or something extraordinary. Here are some lyrics that would make you keep listening to it.

Wanna make love on the moon dancing to my tunes, is too much?
It's not too much
I wanna be on Forbes list
If wishes were horses, is too much?
It's not too much
Shebi omo'ba ni mi, mo tun wo dansakati s'ese
Shebi omo'ba ni mi
Omo'ba i ma ki so'jo
Omo'ba i ma ki n foya, omo'ba ni mi.

The first five lines can be easily understood since it is in English. She is planning to do something weird though. I'm not sure I'll ever want to make love in the moon, but that might be a figure of speech, too. A wealthy man can do anything that requires money - including travelling to the moon. Yes, Teni got some wild thoughts there and notable lyrics. In addition to that, she wants to be popular. There are many billionaires who Forbes didn't make popular - she wants to very rich and wealthy. I want that, too. And, I can't help but keep vibing with this song.

If you don't understand Yoruba, I'm here for you. The last four lines of that lyrics was written in the language. Omoba means the child of a king. I'm not sure if she's a princess, but she said a princess or prince isn't afraid and is destined to be wealthy. Well, everyone claims they are from royal family. Not by blood or relative, but by self. Once you are fit and capable of doing things your way, you should feel good about yourself and work like a prince or princess. Teni might be a princess though, that's why she used the lyrics there, but I'm speaking to anyone that isn't from a royal family. You can proclaim that, too. Being very rich is not too much. Let's work our way to the top.

If you haven't listened to it before, you can download it from the image source above or see the official YouTube audio version below and enjoy.
