My Most Recent Mushroom Find 🍁🍄🍁🍄

I dreamed the other night that I found the mother load of oyster mushrooms! You can see what my subconscious seems to gravitate toward. I have dreamed about finding mushrooms many times. I was hoping that this dream would come true so I wandered around in the forest a bit. I found one small edible puffball mushroom and some other mushrooms that were new to me.

The scientific name is Pholiota limonella and I did not find a common name for them. The are bright yellow with rust brown spikes on top. They were super slick and sticky and looked like some kind of yummy sticky bun. They are not listed as edible however. They were growing on a fallen log.
