in #museum6 years ago

This weekend I visited the Dijon Museée Des Beaux-Arts de Dijon where I saw beautiful medieval and renaissance pieces. Since it undergoes reconstruction there was limited access but still plenty to see.

This is a teaser and the next days I will share what I saw with you.

The museum is the actual former residence of "Phillippe der Gute" Duke of Burgundy, built in 1450 in Dijon (at that time capital of Dijon) All together there were 500 pieces dating from the 5th century until 16th century.

"The Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian"

"Map of Burgundy 1363-1477" Netherlands in the north Germany and the Rhine to the east and france in the south west

Crown

Sarcophagus

"Warhammer"

More details on these and other pieces will follow daily this week :D. Hope you enjoyed the Post.
