Thank you for making this distinction. There is controversy surrounding this subject in the theological community because of the command from The Ten Commandments of the Holy Bible; Thou shalt not kill, as it is widely known. However when correctly interpreted from the original languages, the correct interpretation is, Thou shalt not murder. Which seems reasonable as there is plenty of instruction in the Bible concerning battle, lawful exercise of judgment, and self defense.
