By marilenaligo
This ancient lock is located in the main door of the Palace of the Condors of Maracaibo (Venezuela), originally known as the Main House, it is located opposite the Plaza Bolívar. Its construction began in 1841 and was completed in 1868 to be subsequently rebuilt in 1929, at which time sculptures of two condors were placed in the upper corners, east and west, of the building. That is why it is known as Palacio de los Cóndores.
It was the house of the town hall. It functioned at the time of the Spanish Colony as the prison of the city, in addition to a private house bought by the Municipality in July 1840. Currently, it functions as the official seat of the Executive Power of the State of Zulia. Its location is between avenue 4 and 5, street 95, number 4-46, city of Maracaibo, Venezuela.
