"Grizzly's Mark, Jasper Bark"
During a walk around the area of Mt. Edith Cavell, one of my very favourite mountains in Jasper National Park, I discovered this old tree that was hanging out by a small glacier fed lake. It had twisted as it grew of the ages and its bark was seemingly scared diagonally making it look as if a giant grizzly bear, which aren't that uncommon in this specific area, had left its mark. The golden sap leaked out of its entrails and left this surreal contrast of colours shine out of its natural dark skin. Meanwhile, the presence of the vivid lime green moss strikes out like a bow on top of a present. It sure felt like gold to me!

Nice entry, Thanks for participating!
Thanks a lot, since there weren't any limit as to how many entries could be entered, I thought 3 would be plenty and enough. The bark of this one is very interesting, but much more so when it is seen with its full size... I thought I'd share anyway.
Namaste :)
It's amazing how another living being can manipulate an object to create something even more beautiful with more depth! I guess that can be applied to anything in this world. Great shot :)
Great comment, thank you for the compliment too!
Though I am not sure as to what created the mark, possibly just the aging process and its twisting in the wind, but, hey, maybe, it could have been a grizzly bear!?!
Namaste :)
again...
thank's for sharing
