5G network in Nigeria to be rolled out in August 2022, MTN and NCC confirms

MTN Nigeria will launch its 5G network on August 24, 2022. The company made the announcement on their official website.

This was disclosed by MTN Nigeria during the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) 90th edition of the telecom consumer parliament in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The NCC had instructed the winners of the December 3.5GHz spectrum auctions to begin rolling out services in August 2022 when it gave them the final letters of award for their 5G spectrum licences in May 2022.
