MSP Waves- 16 Discord Jockeys already signed up! We're still looking for more. Shows start next week!
The MSP WAVES RADIO NETWORK, steemit’s premier streaming radio (and video) network is seeking additional volunteer “discord jockeys” to help bring amazing content to our listening and viewing live audience!
MSP Waves Radio is the newest and possibly the coolest new thing to come from the minds of the minnows of the Minnow Support Project and the Peace, Abundance, Liberty Network yet!
MSP Waves is a streaming video and talk “radio” station built and designed from the microphone up exclusively for the steemit user community.
Presently the station is gearing up fast, and has already signed up 16 Discord Jockeys who will present an exciting selection of live discord chat room audience participation based, interactive talk shows across a spectrum of interesting genre’s with a focus toward, by and for, minnows of all sizes.
MSP Waves Radio DJs are still needed now to fill the remaining time slots on our schedule.
We are an still filling openings in our 24 hours per day schedule for hosts to present shows that can and will span a variety of topics. If you can commit to a weekly show, ideally two hours in length, although we will consider one hour shows as well, and you have a solid internet connection, a modestly capable computer or laptop, a microphone, headphones and dreams of fame and fortune, we are looking for YOU to join our amazing DJ lineup!
You're on the air!
To get on the air, you will need to be running a copy of the discord chat software and a copy of the freely available open source Open Broadcasting System application, which is available for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple machines running current versions of these respective operating systems.

No prior experience in broadcasting is necessary, however you will need to be able to multitask pretty efficiently to run the show. You will be talking on the microphone, verifying your sound quality in your headphones and managing the live audience in a typical discord chat room environment. A solid internet connection is necessary, such as a cable modem or better for speed.
If you can fill two hours per week with information about your topic, have the basic equipment needed and can commit to a consistent weekly time slot, we are standing by to sign you up. You can begin the process by registering at http://mspwaves.com and once your show and time slot are approved, we will elevate your rights on the site, so you can add your show the schedule guide and lock in your preferred time slot and weekday.
Show timeslots are being dispensed on a first come, first serve basis, and we want to launch as many shows as we can throughout the first couple of weeks in August, so don’t sleep on this if it’s something you want to do. Just contact @Aggroed, or MSP Waves Station Manager @SirCork in the MSP discord and we will get you going and ready for showtime in no time!

The broadcast streeming video will display your discord chat room in real time, and play your audio as you speak to the audience using your microphone to respond to the questions and comments coming in from the chat. Improvisational skills or pre-planned content may be used as you see fit, and something to talk about may be needed if the audience is quiet or if you wish to stay the course on specific topics each week, as opposed to simply interacting with the audience for the duration of your broadcast time slot.

I've always wanted to do something like this but I feel once I can muster some confidence, I will definitely apply! Haha.
And this is the best thing I've seen. A radio show with jockeys from all over the world. How exciting and I can't wait to tune in.
