From Home School Mom to DJ

So...
I was gonna' make this another sad little post about how life is hard, and woe is me....

How life sucks and continues to suck even more out of me.
And how committed I was to making sure everyone felt it.
How, like, ...just let me sit here and let everything suck, ok??!!

I began this pathetic languishing last week, and stayed awake late one evening, writing the aforementioned intended post. Against my better judgement, I bloviated for what I thought was lengthy enough to qualify for some sort of prize.
That is, until..

Anyway, any discussion about Atlas Shrugged is guaranteed to be exhausting, so we’ll just say, “Holy shit, this book is really long” and leave it at that.

Anywho.

This post ain't about me wallowing in self-pity. At least, it isn't any longer.

A New Thing: MSP - MinnowSupportProject

See, a funny thing happened on the way to the dark corner of my mind...

I logged in here the following morning, and came across a mention by @stitchybitch of the PAL Discord, created for Steemit Minnowsupport.

I commented that it was cool, and sounded like a fun place to hang out and chill with other Steemians. In my usual self-defeating manner, I mentioned I wouldn't join though, for fear of being revealed a giant dork.

Kindly, she assured me "we're all dorks", and that I should just take the plunge into the ocean. (seewutididthur?)

And it was just like that. Like, jumping off a cliff into opaque uncertainty. What was beneath the surface?

Prolly jagged rocks.

Oh, Jane. Ever the optimist (giggles)

Help - everywhere

However, it turns out, the ocean is full of friendlies! Minnows...minnows everywhere... And extremely helpful, knowledgeable, selfless minnows, dolphins, whales, who seem to all have a shared goal: Steemian Success!

As usual, I'm making a short story long, and I'll boil it all down to this:

Last Friday, I was a sniveling pain in the ass. I was resigned to martyring myself at the alter of soiled laundry and dirty dishes.
Jane felt pointless.

The Chaos Show Rising

Fast forward to today, and The Chaos Show makes it's debut tomorrow on MSPWaves radio.

At 6pm-8pm CST/11pm-1am UTC, every Friday, my co-host/co-producer/ and partner-in-crime, @globocop, and I will live-stream 2 hours of banter, newsworthy stuff - no fakes!, bitching, music, mayhem, giggles and tomfoolery.

That's right. Last week, I was a frozen home-schooling housewife.
Tomorrow, because of the Steemit community, I become a DJ.

DisarrangedJane is a DJ.

It is surreal.

And it's only because @aggroed @r0nd0n @ma1neevent and @sircork had a vision for something different. Something better. Something unique!

And most importantly, there is something for everyone.

That thing that has been eluding and evading all us "regular folk" for so long:
AN OPPORTUNITY!!!
(I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to the team!)
