I agree that the UFO shit is more likely a disinformation campaign than anything legit.
Alien life certainly exists. But for such a technologically advanced species to come in contact with us and prod our buttholes with weird gadgets would be absurd. They'd take one look at our sorry state of civilization and consider us psychotic. If anything, they'd come and take DNA samples of life in order to preserve it after capitalism is finished turning the planet into a single all encompassing Disneyland. Like in that xfiles episode.
I don't know why the story always goes that an extraterrestrial visit would be a negative. Why not try the storyline where they have compassion on us and keep us from going the way of Mars?
