Let's talk about three screen adaptations of books written by Conan Doyle.

1. Elementary

American series of CBS channel was released in 2012. Elementary extended for season 6.

Starring actors Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Lew.

Distinctive feature - Watson is a woman. Dr. Joan Watson was hired for Sherlock as a nurse and curator of sobriety.

I did not like the show at all. Sherlock Holmes is a hysterical addict. He is hysterical not because he is a genius, but simply because he is an as*hole. Yes, Sherlock should be like that, but everything is too hyperbolized in this show.

Elementary fits for watching between long interruptions of the show "Sherlock", if you are craving for this character. But can it be better to entertain yourself with other detectives?

A big plus of the plot in the absence of a love line. There is only a friendship between Watson and Sherlock. Such a promise was given by writers, but who knows where they will go for the sake of rating?

If you digress from the original story, then "Elementary" is a good detective series with a fairly strong story line. Just watching this show for 40 minutes and then forget about what we've just seen. The show can be viewed from any episode and you absolutely do not miss anything in the story.

The creators of the American version of Sherlock Holmes adventures took only the names, the main story lines of "Sherlock-Moriarty", "Sherlock-Irene Adler" and some character traits. At times, the logic of the chains which are built from murder to murderer is incomprehensible. Sherlock can determine by the smell of ashes the brand of cigarettes, the color of lipstick, and that the killer ate breakfast 3 years ago.

And Elementary is a glamorous version of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson - Joan Watson changes outfits almost every minute.

Lucky am I. I didn't wait for years for new episodes, because I watched Sherlock for the first time last year).

But fans have to wait for 2-3 years for new season. It's all about the main actors busyness - Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Although analyzing their work, it would be better if they were shot in Sherlock). While it is not known whether the TV series will be extended, but officially it is not closed.

Our days, London. The characters are completely in line with the book, but modern realities leave an imprint on the investigation - in addition to using deduction and analysis, Sherlock also uses Internet technologies.

In each season only for 3 episodes, but each of them is a masterpiece!

Excellent acting, plot twists, incredible intrigue. I like how screenwriters up book game . Sherlock Holmes story really got new life. We still feel a connection with the classical, old story despite the action takes place in modern London.

"Sherlock" is a perfectly made and high-quality product of modernity. Does it have a "soul"? It's up to each viewer.

The fourth season isn't good, in my opinion. The motivation of the characters raised questions. Sometimes I would like to ask: "Guys, what's going on?", Where is that excellent logic and sense of common sense that guided you the previous 3 seasons?

Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman made an excellent tandem, so maybe it was hard for me to look "Elementary"?
