Hello, everyone!

I watched "Death note" released on Netflix and it's time to compare the anime and the movie.

Plot

A school student Light found a notebook marked "Death Note". If somebody writes a name down in it, the person will die in 40 seconds from a heart attack. Light has a chance to cleanse the world of all abominations. With persistence, he begins to inscribe the names of the criminals in the notebook. Light believes that he will become a new, fair God for the world. People publish their gratitude websites, asking to kill him all the scoundrels. But not everyone regards Light as a hero. To investigate, the police invite the best detective in the world - L. From this moment the investigation begins, in which the intellect of the villain is are no less to the intellect of the detective.

The plot was based on the philosophical idea: "Is it possible to achieve good for some people by killing others?"

Let's take a look at the actors who performed the main roles:

Nat Wolff as Light Turner / "Kira"

Lakeith Stanfield as L

Willem Dafoe as Ryuk

It's unclear what filmmakers were drawn upon when decided to film the manga. From the original plot, in general, they wanted to throw out the death gods. What?! But this director safely left. Adam Wingard became the director. I know only the TV series "Outcast" (2016) directed by Adam Wingard, and in 2020 he will film "Godzilla vs. Kong". So we have what we have.

Well, the movie "Death Note" done qualitatively, cool, but stupid. I will not list small bugs, I will write down the main disadvantages:
- In the original anime, Light is the best school student in Japan. He is very organized, does not allow the slightest mistakes. In the film, we are simply told in words that Light Turner is an intelligent guy, all classmates covered his paper, but in fact, he is a trite, stupid American teenager. About acting, I do not say anything at all.
- Light does not have any interaction with Ryuk. Ryuk appears a couple of times for a couple of seconds to neigh over the guy at the right time.
- There is no explanation the death gods came from, the anime devoted enough time and shows the world of the gods. But a lot of time was spent on Light's sex/kisses/ with the girl and in the process, they quickly found a motivation for writing names in the notebook. In the anime, Light's understanding that he would become a new god for humanity was so excellent shown! There is no emotion on the Ryuk face, but in anime, we can sense how much he is shocked by what "help-assistant" he got. In the film, Ryuk gets two jerks, who start to quarrel over the trifles. And Ryuk is not a weary person anymore, but a serpent.
- And the moment when Light left his phone number to L's right-hand man.... There are no words. Dude, you're under surveillance! Light in anime is practically a high-tech organism. He would never have done so stupidly! Here is just a boy who thinks that this is a game. But what I expected? He told everything about Death Note just anybody. To the first girl he met!

About such trifles as jumping L on a chair, I generally keep quiet.

And what kind of musical theme was in the anime ... Oh, all ruined.

The brilliant, wonderful, awesome anime "Death Note" is an excellent detective, a battle of two intellects. Villain Light, who thinks that he is The Justice and brings good to all people and L is Japanese Sherlock. Anime is an unceasing dance of evil and good. L and Light waltz, constantly winning back and giving the lead in the dance. It is interesting to observe their thought processes. Each episode keeps in suspense, nerves are stretched like a string. From the movie, this should not be expected. Everything is very flat. The film brought to the fore a teenage love with hysterics and snot. I did not expect anything special from the film because it is difficult to fit 37 episodes of anime into a 90-minute movie, but at least a little common sense could be put into the plot. Please.
I'm afraid that people who have watched the film will be disappointed and think that the anime is even worse. Especially in all the minds fixed the thought that Netflix can't show the garbage product, but that's what happened.
Do not watch a movie, watch anime or read a manga.

Didn't know there was a live action Deathnote movie. I think I'd prefer the anime due to the visuals. I'm not a big anime guy but love Deathnote.
