Netflixing Hiatus

You read that right.

2019 marks the year that I stop posting Netflix reviews. Possibly forever. And those who have followed me for a while know that I have left the door open for this.

Why Now?

Putting out a new review every week has been a bigger time commitment than I ever would have imagined. Writing the articles alone takes more time than I can afford to use up right now.

But outside of that, there’s the time it takes to watch an entire TV series. And even watching movies can eat up more minutes than I have to spend, especially when I have to go through several movies to find one I actually want to review.

And, finally, I began my Netflix reviews in connection with my Steemit blogging. And, for the moment at least, Steemit is pretty dead. It could make a comeback, but the people running it have done little to restore my confidence. Without a requisite level of income from posting Netflix reviews, I can’t afford to keep making them

Could They ever Come Back?

Sure. If they could be profitable or influential at all. But lately my reviews have not only been generating no revenue, they also haven’t generated any meaningful discussion. And if I’m going to make my web presence known, I need more clicks and comments than what my Netflix reviews are giving me.

What about Your Other Posts?

Weekly blog entries are scheduled to continue indefinitely. If I ever run out of things to talk about, I will invent as many new subjects as I need to keep the conversation going.

But make no mistake: my purpose is to make an impact, and whatever strategies I employ from here on out, whether they are successful or not, will be designed toward that end.

What else is Going to Change?

Lots.

It’s a new year, and I am going to be trying new things. I have a master plan that bends toward success, but it’s going to require incremental change. I hope you will have patience with me as I blaze new trails. But in any case, things are going to be different.

In the meantime, I want to thank everyone who has enjoyed Netflixing with me over the past 2.5 years. We had some good times. I wish there had been more of them. I aim to do even better with my future projects.

Keep your eyes on this space, because I might make a fool of myself as I keep trying to get noticed, but that is not going to stop me.
