Spin-Off 'Fast and Furious' Appoint Idris Elba Become Villain

Along with the shooting process getting closer, the list of players spin-off Fast and Furious began to complete. Following Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham , there is now a top British actor Idris Elba who helped enliven the action film Universal production. If Johnson and Statham act as central characters, Elba will be plotted as the main villain. Based on the latest news from Variety , Elba is currently undergoing a final negotiation to portray the character of a still mysterious villain. Knowing Elba will join, Johnson also greeted him enthusiastically via Twitter .



"He (Elba) who became his villain. Warmly welcome my friend @idriselba who plays on the Fast and Furious #HobbsAndShaw spin-off movie . Good or not every hero is determined by their enemy, "said Johnson.



Elba himself had previously starred in big movies like Prometheus , Pacific Rim , Star Trek Beyond and Thor movies and The Dark Tower . Elba has also been named by critics as one of the best actors today thanks to his fantastic acting in the war drama Beasts of No Nation . Related characters Elba in the spin-off Fast and Furious , there is the possibility he became a villain from England with a black costume, which had touched on rumors casting some time ago.



Johnson and Statham themselves first met in the Fast and Furious franchise through the seventh series, each of whom acted as Hobbs agent and Deckard Shaw's villain. Johnson's and Statham's formerly hostile characters have become mutually cooperative in the eighth Fate of the Furious series, and their dynamic duet manages to reap a positive response.



Departing from that, Universal finally outgrows the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off. Nevertheless, this spin-off had met a steep road because never got the opposition from fellow players Fast and Furious , call it Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson . But now it seems that the issue has been resolved, as evidenced by Hobbs and Shaw 's spin-off that keeps moving forward.



For now there is no further detail on the stories that Hobbs and Shaw spinoff has to offer. What is clear, the expertise of director David Leitch ( Deadpool 2 ) in packing action scenes to make himself considered suitable for dealing with badass duo Johnson and Statham. With the filming process likely starting later this fall, Hobbs and Shaw's spin-off will be released August 2, 2019.
