Captain America: Civil War
If you have not seen it yet, what are you waiting for?? The movie great and the action was fantastic. They did an excellent job bringing in Spider-Man and the Black Panther. Not only was the action incredible, but the story and plot were great too. Both sides had legitimate arguments on way the felt they way they did. I saw in 3D IMAX. I would say 3D didn't add anything to the experience, but seeing it in IMAX was well worth the experience. I would say this is in the top 3 if not best superhero movie so far. What do you think??
Thanks for the review, I will have to check it out.
I'm looking forward to this one. The last Captain America - Winter Soldier was the best action/superhero movie I've seen.
Meh, I'll start with a disclaimer that I'm not a huge "superhero" movie fan.
It was two and a half hours of over the top special effects of superheros fighting each other. I'm a big MMA & boxing fan, so watching hour upon hour of fake unrealistic fighting just didn't cut it for me. ;) The story was not exactly groundbreaking and did not follow the comic book version (so my son tells me), and I'll leave it at that so I don't spoil whether someone dies or not.
Honestly I was done after about an hour and forty-five minutes and ready to call it a night, but I discovered this endless journey of special effects had another 45 minutes to go. :/ Don't get me wrong though, I'm not a special effects hater, so long as there's an actual storyline with good dialogue to back it up (see Deadpool).
The storyline of this movie and pretty much all of the dialogue you need to know are in the title of the movie. That's what it felt like to me, any talking done in between the special effects fighting was simply filler to keep people like me wondering if anything interesting was going to be said so we didn't fall asleep. But I was let down and wish I had just dozed off midway through like I wanted to.
