Despite the fact that the twins Duffer in the 84th year was several months old, thanks to the love of music and films of the mid-80s, they managed to create not just a series, but a real collection of "greatest hits" that included so many things and cultural codes that fingers not enough to list, it makes sense to look for almost-in every scene. Yes, it's far to go - the new characters of the series, a girl named "Mad Max", her brother - as the embodiment of popular movie rebel, a reporter - obsessed with conspiracy theories and everywhere seeing Russian spies, while actively overlapping "Stolichnaya" and endless homages "Gremlins", "Alien" and other films, which are shameful not to know. In this regard, the second season is much steeper than its predecessor and its atmosphere is much deeper, like a rabbit hole leading to the Eighties.

Of course, the wow effect, thanks to which the show became a hit, is felt much less in the second season, because the audience is already familiar with the atmosphere of the show and really missed the favorite characters, but at the same time let's be honest - you also understand that children grow up and problems grow up too and it seems to me that having shifted the emphasis from the "love" of Mike and Eleventh to Will, experiencing little psychological trauma, so also failures in another dimension and Dusty, asking questions about how to talk with the girls while rearing pet monster, the creators of the show did the right thing.

And even more correctly received the bosses of Netflix, who gave the go-ahead for another two seasons of this fantastic show.
