About a week ago I watched this again, one thing's for sure..: Salieri lived the hell on earth (for obvious reasons) - This movie is a masterpiece! Have you watched "The Director's Cut"? It has 20 minutes of additional footage (so a total of 180 minutes), and Milos Forman says that it's the original version intended to be released in the first place, but for various reasons they were not able to release it as it is, so they had to cut it. By the way, I still hear Amadeus' (Tom Hulce's best performance ever) laughter! :)
