Young Guns

A lot of Fun.

It was fairly well done, but does fall into the Western cliche, with our anti-hero not being fully developed as one particular character. The character goes from a loyal person avenging the death of his father figure to homicidal killer (not what his father figure taught).

The relationship between the main characters is however developed nicely, and the actors do excellent jobs making the characters realistic. In the end we something like a classic Western better done and a lot of fun. In short it it worth watching if you get the chance.

The story is set in 1878, we have the ranch owner John Tunstall that hire young men to protect his ranch. Part of the deal is that he teaches this mean to read, write, and become more civilized. John isn't however the only rancher in the area, and his competitor Murphy wants to kill the competition.

When one of Murphy's men shoots John the "kids" are deputized and go after Murphy's men. One of the kids however isn't focused on bringing the suspects into custody. Hence, the kids become killers themselves, now the rest of Murphy's men and the law are after them.

I thought it was OK too, the scene where they took the Peyote was awesome!

There were indeed some good scenes.
