Duterte is very serious in his campaign in eradicating drugs in the Philippines putting his life in front of danger against the drug lords and drug coddlers who are suspected to be part of the Philippine politics and Government which are Senators,mayors,governors and police officials...
why?
If drugs are made Illegal and a war on drugs in launched.
Bad things will happen.
Look at the history of that type of endeavor world wide and through out history.
Prohibition does more damage that what it trys to prohibit.

look what happened during the bootleg era. they made alcohol illegal..the result, more crimes and killings because of business rivals.
actually what is happening in the Philippines right now is good because the President now has uncovered deeper connections of drugs involving officials from the recent administration of former President Benigno Aquino. what the world may see now in the philippines is not good but what the people living in the country sees is change,hope and a new beggining all from the effort of new president.
