Poetic Film Review: Troy (2004)

In ancient times of myth and war,
Troy brought legends to the screen.
With Hollywood's grandeur and gore,
A tale of heroes, both brave and mean.

From Homer's Iliad to Petersen's eye,
A saga of battles and love,
But history twisted, truth awry,
As myths were reshaped from above.

Brad Pitt's Achilles, a warrior bold,
In a world of gods and strife,
But script and changes left hearts cold,
Leaving characters without life.

Despite the spectacle and grandeur shown,
Troy failed to stand the test of time.
A Hollywood epic, but truth not known,
Leaving behind a flawed paradigm.

So let us remember the tales of old,
Not just through Hollywood's gaze,
For history's truths, forever bold,
Should not be lost in a cinematic haze.
