Poetic Film Review: 28 Days Later (2002)
In a world devoid of life,
A virus spreads, causing strife,
The fast and agile infected roam,
In 28 Days Later, a post-apocalyptic home.
From the labs of Cambridge, chaos unleashed,
As activists release, the virus increased,
Jim, a courier, wakes to find despair,
No one left, only death in the air.
With a small group, they seek safety,
In Manchester, hoping for serenity,
But danger lurks at every turn,
As the infected continue to burn.
Boyle's direction, a haunting tale,
Of a world gone mad, where hope is frail,
Character depth and suspense so strong,
In this world where everything's gone wrong.
Although flawed, the film still shines,
A warning of what could be in these times,
As we watch the chaos unfold,
In a story that feels eerily bold.
28 Days Later, a vision of fear,
A reminder that apocalypse is near,
With a rating of seven out of ten,
A film that stays with you, even then.
