What Happened To Monday

Hello, today I'm going to do a movie review on a Netflix movie called What Happened to Monday? It's a 2017 movie released later of the year starring Noomi Raprace as Karen Settman.

The movie is set in a dystopian future where the world’s population has grown big enough that the Earth can no longer sustain its needs. So one day the world decides that in order to save the planet they need to reduce the population of the human race so became the “one child policy”. The policy states that all families can only have one child in their household and that if any other siblings exist, must be put in a cryogenic sleep (frozen sleep) and would be woken when the world population has stabilized. The story starts upon birth of a child called Karen Settman, all might have been happy and perfect if not for the fact that Karen Settman is a shared name between Septuplets (7 twins). The story mostly revolved on the struggle of the siblings and how each one must adopt to the policies of the government. The climax was when one of the Sibling went missing as she was out from her work, then the government learned their secret which led to an attack to their home trying to eliminate the evidence of their failure. Who could have known their secret? How will Karen Settman survive? And What happened to Monday?

Netflix did a good job on this one, Together with the unique storyline, awesome settings and visual effects it’s a good movie. Although they’re using Actors and Actresses that aren’t that famous, they’re acting skills really fits for the movie but isn't that top notch. Overall it’s a nice movie to watch with friends who are bored by the classic cliché storyline.
