Vikings season 5: Episode 3, 3 moments that should not be missed!

in #movie7 years ago

Episode 3 of Vikings' Season 5 aired last night on American History. Back then on three scenes that should not be missed in "Homeland".

One of the things we love about the Vikings series is that it does not waste time. Unlike some series that fight during several episodes before it happens, in Vikings we have action every time. This is still the case with episode 3 of Vikings season 5, which offered us a bloody fight between Ragnar's sons and the English led by Heahmund and Aethelwulf. Ivar is once again the center of attention - if not more than in the season premiere - and the performance of Alex Hogh Andersen still bluffed us. We offer you a return on the three scenes of "Homeland" that should not be missed:

Ivar is "special"

Once again Vikings emphasized the duality of the Ivar character, a mixture of vulnerability and madness, a need for recognition in the face of unnamed violence. As he prepares to sacrifice a young slave for the Gods, his speech touches him deeply because she sees something special in him. And it does not take more to someone like Ivar to believe it, but what's interesting in this scene is the head he makes after kissing him. For a short time, it feels as if you are facing an innocent young man, which will be totally forgotten once the battle begins.

The madness of Ivar

What happens during the battle and Ivar's behavior are directly related to this scene with the slave because telling him that he was going to accomplish great things, he felt invincible during the fight and proudly claimed it. In the end, Ivar does not fight much, since he finds himself quickly on the ground, but he is terrifying when he is screaming on the ground, his face full of English blood to say he can not be killed. This scene is of a mad power and Heahmund himself seems to see in Ivar some special since he does not go to him to kill him. It is certain that this scene will remain in the annals ...

The choice of Hvitserk

Hvitserk is a little indecisive of the family. We can see it from the beginning, he always follows the decisions of his brothers, standing sometimes on the side of Ubbe, sometimes on the side of Ivar. If during the whole episode it was believed that he was going to leave Ivar alone in England, he finally decided to side with his little brother, rather than follow his eldest to Kattegat. Hvitserk's choice to follow Ivar marks a new gap between Ragnar's sons and we now imagine that they will be two against two, with the two eldest, Bjorn and Ubbe, on one side and Hvitserk and Ivar on the other. We can also see the disappointment on the face of Ubbe, while it marks a new victory for Ivar.
