Avengers Endgame is a worthy end of the Infinity Saga #4

Steve Rogers aka Captain America is exactly what Tony Stark said to him in Civil War: a soldier who can't exist without war. Cap just can't go on like Tony Stark. The fight is all he has left and he lost it along with all the rest of what was important to him. He can't cope with the defeat against Thanos and he can't deal with it.

Black Windows character tries with all her might to keep the family together and protect them. The Avengers were the only thing she had. The heroes and the community that came out of it was like a family she had combed for. Since there are no real tasks left for the ex-spioness, she sits there at a desk and coordinates the action of the individual Avengers spread across the planet. Her reason to live, her task is gone and her life is empty. That Black Widow takes the lead is again a fan service that is told in comics, because she takes over the Avengers after Tony Stark and Captain America.

The two who were hit the hardest are Thor and Hawkeye. They really lost everything they ever cared about. Everything they have tried to protect and defend has been made too null and void. And both have the feeling of not having done enough or being to blame for the result through their faulty or non-existent involvement. Hawkeye thought he would protect his family by not being an Avenger.

Thor thought he could only kill Thanos with the help of a new axe. But Thor's arrogant show off and the desire to see Thanos in his eyes as he rammed the axe into his chest at the end of Infinity War made 50% of the universe die. This is understandable, because Thanos took Thor the only remaining family member, Loki. That Thor is so keen on revenge is very understandable.

But since that didn't work out and Thor failed every time and he couldn't stop Thanos, it gnaws at his ego and doubts himself. Thor has lost the absolute control over his life and has become a fat alcoholic who brings an incredible amount of lightness into this film, because he is also simply the Asgardic version of the Dude, but at the same time it's also an incredibly tragic turn for this character. We see how he is at the bottom of the ground. Even he does not want to admit it himself and tries to drink it away and to ignore what happened. This fact of failure tugs a lot at him. He doesn't want to show it and tries to stay absolutely cool, which also makes him the cool and casual Dude, but you notice that it eats him up inside.

He couldn't live up to his role as a Asgardic king, demigod and all the expectations that this role carried with it. Especially because we have followed his course of events and his self-discovery as king of Asgard for the last 10 years.

Many of these and other twists show us at first glance incomprehensible fractures that go hand in hand with the characters built up so far. And that's what it's all about. The snap is the absolute low blow / knock out for the heroes. That was what the Avengers wanted to prevent and in their way each of these characters was tragically broken and according to these character developments we see the corresponding realisations. With the info that they could undo everything what happened by travelling back in time and still get everyone back made them look incredulously. Because they had dealt with the defeat.

Greetings @oendertuerk, your analyzes are interesting to read, you are a good critic.

I perceive that they place the loss of friends as something very difficult for these superheroes, if it is difficult, but they are supposed to be people of demigod level and in this context they are presented as mere mortals.

right @tiababi, and i think that is the point.

Now waiting to see Spiderman far from home...really excited to watch...

Yeah @davidsbk, me too. I think, in the film, we will see the effects of the reversal of the snap, the time travel and the imbalance triggered by it.

I haven't watched the film but i will watch it.

if you haven't seen the previous Marvel Films, I'd recommend you to see them first @xanderman :)

In the end, Thor did something that nobody expected he try to find himself with Guardians in the Galaxy. Maybe it helps him to deal with the grief after his brother and Asgard.

i think in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie we will see it?
