Spaceballs

I absolutely love Spaceballs. This movie goes way back for me. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger, and unlike Elf, the humor never got old and it’s not awful. Actually, in eighth grade, I probably watched this movie like 30 times because it’s awesome. I even used it as a theme for my middle school graduation speech that everyone had to write, and got an A. Spaceballs is an awesome spoof to my favorite movie franchise of all time. In fact, it’s my favorite spoof ever. The characters are funny, the lines are hilarious, and the quotes are memorable. Lone Starr is an awesome hero and is also very funny. John Candy (Rest In Peace) is pretty much iconic as barf, who is amazing. Dark Helmet is clueless, and you can’t get much better than Rick Moranis. Mel Brooks is also clueless and is an awful leader, but legendary comedian. And Colonel Sandurz is funny, too. The comedy never fails to make me laugh. My favorite line to this day is “We ain’t found sh*t.” And I love to use the term “ludicrous speed.” I forgot to mention Yogurt is also hysterical. The practical effects are actually mostly Star Wars quality, and for those who don’t understand, that means they are really good. I absolutely love this movie. Overall, Spaceballs is legendary and I give it a 10/10. May the Schwartz be with you.
