Trailer Review - Dark Phoenix (2019)
They're Right To Fear Her
I really, really hope this is not going to be like 2006 all over again, remember what they did with X-Men: The Last Stand.
The reason I'm saying this is because this is because the director of this film was the main writer on of The Last Stand, which was an absolute cock up. They could not have made a more shittier movie if they tried to, it will also always and forever remain the worst X-Men film. The trailer does look pretty awesome, and as a very long time X-Men fan this looks like it will be a fan film to watch. I am however a little skeptical just from watching the trailer, there is this feeling that it's a reboot of the Last Stand, and not so much a completely new story, that because some of the scenes look so similar, but I could be mistaken and it's the pessimist in me thinking that. I can only patiently wait and hope that this time round they don't disappoint.
"In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy." - 20th Century Fox
"Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward." - Charles Francis Xavier
Dark Phoenix gets a potential rating of 7.5/10

There is the kind of review I can get my hands on. I didn't watch "Last Stand" (which looks like a really good choice) and will treat Dark Phoenix with caution.
Thanks for a really honest review. I love it!
