Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Guillermo del Toro (REVIEW)

in #movie6 years ago

Wonderful movie from the Spanish director Del Toro, I really liked it. In general, the movie intertwines two stories into one, in one, represented at the very start, the King of the World (the forest or how it was) who lived under the ground, had a daughter unit, and now the daughter got tired living in the underworld and run away outside, but not knowing that the sun would destroy her, and she dies in the open sky.

But her spirit survives, and she seeks a chance to go back. The second part takes place in Spain in General Franco's era of rule. Single mother, married to one child and already pregnant with another. The second child with whom it is difficult is one captain of Franco's army, who is at the foot of the mountain chasing revolutionaries, mother, is pregnant for eight months along with her little daughter, go to Captain (the new mother's mother) for the child to be born in his presence.

Here begins the whole plot of the story. The movie is as I said in Spanish, and the English translation was written personally by Del Toro, because the Americans translation was full of errors. This movie is much more than underground monsters and children's stories, I ran for the fauna, I thought there would be such mythical creatures, but the performers are more of a scrutiny of people's concerns and their problems, faults, hopes, etc.
It's worth the movie.
