The Devil Wears Prada is an American novel by Lauren Weisberger released in 2003 and adapted to the cinema with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in 2006. He tells the story of a young woman named Andrea Sachs who, as she leaves the university, becomes a personal assistant to Miranda Priestly, the editor of Runway, a fashion magazine. His work becomes more and more difficult because of the capricious demands of his superior tyranny.
The popularity and success of the novel are attributed to its quality as a novel. Weisberger herself has worked at Vogue as an assistant to Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief. The latter has in fact assumed that she had inspired the character of the novel's editor-in-chief, which
