Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone

Hi friends, I hope you're fine? I decided to talk to you today about three strong men of the cinema. Let's start with my favorite who is Sylvester Stallone.

Sylvester Stallone is an American actor, director, screenwriter and producer born on July 6, 1946 in New York, in the Hell's Kitchen district.

After starting in small roles in the early 1970s, he was revealed to the general public in 1976 in Rocky where his performance earned him the Oscar, Golden Globes and BAFTA awards for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay.

This tremendous success sparks his career, spawning a series of seven critically and commercially successful films, the story of which tells the story of a boxer from Philadelphia. Besides the incarnation of the main role, he regularly assures the realization and writing. His interpretation of Rocky Balboa spans more than forty years and earns him the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2016 and a third Oscar nomination in the same category.

In parallel, he continues in the serious and dramatic register with films like F.I.S.T. (1978), The Tavern of Hell (1978), The Falcons of the Night (1981) and works for renowned filmmakers such as Norman Jewison and John Huston. In 1982, his incarnation of a soldier traumatized by the Vietnam War in Rambo allowed him to obtain the second most emblematic role of his career.

The success of the film leads to the production of a series of three suites centered around the character. From the mid-1980s, he turned to the big budget productions: the suites of Rambo, Tango and Cash, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man or the Expendables movie series. Apart from a few dramas such as Cop Land, Rocky's sequel, and several comedy attempts, action films became his main genre of performance.

Since 1984, he has had his star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame.

History

Sylvester Stallone's father, Francesco "Frank", was born in Gioia del Colle, province of Bari, Puglia, Italy, and arrived in the United States when his parents emigrated to the country in the 1930s. His mother, Jackie Stallone, of Ukrainian and French ancestry, was born in Washington, DC

Following complications at birth in 1946, Sylvester Stallone suffers from facial paralysis on the left side (a facial nerve was touched and damaged by the forceps). His mouth is slightly twisted and his tongue is half-paralyzed, causing him a lack of pronunciation.

Sylvester Stallone studied acting in Miami. Back in New York, he appears in several off-Broadway plays. During a period of unemployment, he finds himself briefly homeless and turns an erotic film, The Party at Kitty and Stud's, for which he touches, according to his own testimony, a salary of 200 dollars. This is his first appearance at the cinema.

The film comes out several years later, after the triumph of Rocky and to take advantage of the nascent success of the actor, under the title The Italian Stallion, nickname Rocky Balboa; the Italian word "stallone" also means "stallion", accompanied by an advertising campaign that tries to make it look like a pornographic film. Most of his other roles surround him in brief appearances of lout, as in Bananas where he heckles a poor Woody Allen. He also makes appearances in television series like Kojak, but his career is slow to take off. In the middle of the 1970s, he began to get more important supporting roles, such as in Capone or in the B series Death Race 2000, where he played the main villain.

It was during this period that Stallone wrote the script for Rocky, the story of a lousy boxer who was offered the chance of his life the day the boxing world champion offered him to face him in the ring. His story is inspired by a boxing bout that he witnessed as a spectator and who played Mohamed Ali with an unknown boxer, Chuck Wepner. Against all odds, the latter resisted and gave a fierce retort to the great champion.

Aware that the role of Rocky Balboa, like the fight against Apollo Creed for his character, can tip his life, Stallone refuses to sell his scenario if he does not get the guarantee to play the title role. The producers raised the bid high to buy this script, but they wanted a confirmed star on the poster: at first, the role was proposed to James Caan, Robert Redford, Burt Reynolds or Ryan O'Neal. Producers are reluctant to entrust Stallone, who is only a minor player, to the lead role.

It was finally in 1976 that he won his case and released Rocky by John G. Avildsen. Filming is a feat because it was completed in just a month and with a budget ridiculous. Like his character, Stallone finds himself propelled on the front of the stage, the movie experiencing an unexpected success and winning ten proposals for the Oscars. In the end, the film wins 3 Oscars, including the most important, that of the best film of the year. The universal story of Rocky Balboa, that of the "little ones" who assert themselves and are realized by dint of courage, but also thanks to the help of destiny, gives birth to a myth of the modern American cinema and also shapes an outsized dimension to his interpreter.

Stallone will meet Rocky Balboa six times, in 1979, 1982, 1985, 1990, 2006 and 2015. Stallone wrote all the scripts of the saga and directed Rocky 2, Rocky 3, Rocky 4 and the sixth one, entitled Rocky Balboa. The series Rocky presents a disturbing parallel between the career of the actor and the boxer who get burganized both over the years: we leave the small "tocard" lost of Philadelphia to evolve to a superstar monopolized by his image (Rocky 3), even a spearhead of American patriotism in full recovery of the cold war (Rocky 4 where he faces a boxer of the Soviet Union). Only the fifth part will disrupt this success story, because of a homecoming and a scenario, focused on the decline of the boxer, which will run up against the fans accustomed to the triumph of their idol.

Sylvester Stallone turns the film Lead in the head alongside Jason Momoa, he plays a hitman forced to team with a cop to find the killer of their respective teammates. He will find Arnold Schwarzenegger in Évasion, which tells the story of a designer of the safest prisons in terms of security who will be arrested and imprisoned himself.

In 2015, was released on US screens, Creed: The Legacy of Rocky Balboa, a spin-off of Rocky, centered on the son of Apollo Creed. Stallone will win the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for the role of Rocky Balboa and will again be nominated for the Academy Award but in the category of Best Supporting Actor. He had already been nominated for the same role in 1977 at the Golden Globes and Oscars.

In 2017, Sylvester Stallone will star in the television series Omerta, whose screenplay is based on a book by Mario Puzo. In October of the same year, he announces that in addition to being the scriptwriter, he will be the director of Creed 2, the sequel to the spin-off Creed: The Legacy of Rocky Balboa. This eighth movie of the saga Rocky will also see the return of the character Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren in Rocky 4.

Director and scriptwriter

Sylvester Stallone is also a director: he starred in stages 2, 3, 4 and 6 of the saga Rocky and The Tavern of Hell (1978) and Staying Alive (1983) with John Travolta (the sequel to The Fever Saturday night), not to mention the last part of the Rambo saga. He is also the scriptwriter or co-writer of all the films he directed and several films he has performed without having made them (FIST, Cobra, Cliffhanger, ...).

The filming of his film Expendables: Special Unit started in April 2009 in Brazil, with Stallone in the lead with Jason Statham, Jet Li, Charisma Carpenter, Dolph Lundgren returning with Stallone after being noticed in Rocky IV, Randy Couture (MMA Champion), Stone Cold Steve Austin, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and a short appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. The film was released August 13, 2010 in the United States and August 18 in France. It tells the story of a band of mercenaries sent to an island in South America to dislodge a dictator, played by David Zayas.

The film is a huge international box office success, despite criticism, and revives Sylverter Stallone in the action cinema at 64.

In 2012, he resumed his role in Expendables 2 but did not take charge of the realization that is entrusted to Simon West. The film, shot mostly in Bulgaria, welcomes some new actors such as Chuck Norris, Scott Adkins and especially Jean-Claude Van Damme who plays the main antagonist. For this sequel, the characters of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis become more important. The film was released on August 22, 2012 in France.

The third part Expendables 3, with new actors Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes or Mel Gibson but this time without Bruce Willis, is broadcast in the room in August 2014. Again, the success is at the rendezvous.

Private life

From 1974 to 1985, he is married to Sasha Czack with whom he will have two sons, Sage Moonblood and Seargeoh, who is autistic.
From late 1985 to mid 1987, he is married to actress and model Brigitte Nielsen, who plays Drago's partner, in Rocky 4.

In 1997: he married former model Jennifer Flavin, they have three daughters together: Sophia Rose, Sistine Rose and Scarlet Rose.

On July 13, 2012, Sage Stallone, his 36-year-old son, is found dead in his Hollywood home. The cause would be heart failure. During the autopsy, no trace of drugs was found in his body except for Vicodin, a morphine analgesic. Sage Stallone is buried in Westwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.

In January 2013, the New York Post wrote that the actor, in his adolescence, abused his half-sister Toni-Ann Filiti. Having threatened to reveal this story in 1987, she would have received from the actor $ 2 million, a pension of $ 16,666 per month for life and a psychiatric follow-up fee of $ 50,000. The son of Toni-Ann Filiti claims that his mother would have confirmed the facts on his deathbed. The entourage of Sylvester Stallone defends the latter and argues that he would have paid money to his sister only by generosity.

According to their mother Jacqueline Stallone, her daughter invented everything to blackmail her son for money.

In February 2016, The Baltimore Post-Examiner newspaper published an article in which Sylvester Stallone was reported to have sexually abused a 16-year-old girl in 1986 with her bodyguard. The newspaper is based on a police report from the same year, and on the statements of the alleged victim. In November of the following year, in the context of the Harvey Weinstein affair, the British daily newspaper Daily Mail retrieves information from the Baltimore Post-Examiner.

The actor then reacts by categorically denying, and emphasizing that he has never been questioned by the authorities. Brigitte Nielsen, wife of Sylvester Stallone at the time, intervenes to challenge these accusations. In December 2017, he is the subject of a new sexual assault complaint, although the prescription period has expired.

Hello @lndesta120282 I'm fine, but how are you?
Sylvester Stallone is one of the favorite actors of youth. This is a man who was remembered by many in the role of a motivated and strong person. His life path tells us that his fate was not easy for her. It is from this that his filmography develops - from his character.
He was always compared with Arnold Schwarzenegger, as they were very similar. I remember there were arguments about which of them is stronger :)
Well, of course the best films on which I remember it - Rimbaud and Rocky :) These films have become legendary and have spawned a whole series.
Thank you:)
