DC의 히어로영화. Hero movie of DC.

저번 두글에서 MCU에 대해 주로 말을 했었죠, 오늘은 DC의 영화에 대해 이야기 해볼까 합니다.
In the last two articles, I talked mainly about MCU, I will talk about the movie of DC today.

여러분이 잘 아실지 모르겠지만, 사실 2013년에 나온 맨 오브 스틸 이전에 DC의 히어로 영화가 있었습니다. 왓치맨(2009) 과 그린랜턴(2011)입니다.
I do not know if you know well, In fact there was a Hero movie of DC before the Man of Steel in 2013. That is Watchmen (2009) and Green Lantern (2011).

영화 300으로 유명한 잭 스나이더가 왓치맨의 감독이었습니다.
Jack Snyder, famous for the movie 300, was the director of Watchmen.

왓치맨은 선정적이면서도 잔인한 장면이 많은 19세 영화입니다. 또한 굉장히 무겁고 다크한 분위기의 영화라서 호불호가 극명하게 나뉘는 영화인 것 같습니다.
WATCHMAN is a 19-year-old movie with many sexually and brutal scenes. It is also a very heavy and gloomy film and The preference is clearly divided.

우리나라에선 흥행이 저조했으나, 외국에선 볼만하다는 평가를 받았습니다.
In our country, the box office was poor but International grades were satisfactory

왓치맨의 원작은 가상이지만 소비에트 연방과 미국이 냉전을 계속하고, 3차 세계대전의 발발을 앞둔 불안한 정서를 바탕으로 한 그래픽 노블입니다.
The Soviet Union and the US kept the Cold War in WATCHMAN comics, This is a graphic novel based on unstable emotion before the outbreak of World War III.

2년 뒤 DC는 그린랜턴을 내놓습니다. DC는 아이언맨 1편 (2008)처럼 굉장한 인기를 얻을 것이라고 생각했지만 결과는 끔직했습니다.
Two years later, DC releases a green lantern. DC thought it would be very popular like Iron Man 1 (2008), but the results were terrible.

제작비 2억 달러 포함, 홍보비용까지 무려 3억 달러가 투자된 영화 〈그린 랜턴〉의 미국 내 흥행 수입은 1억 1500만 달러에 불과했습니다. 정말 제대로 망했습니다.

대표적인 비평 포털 사이트 '로튼 토마토(Rotten Tomatoes)'의 평점은 100점 만점기준 26점이었습니다.

이 영화는 흥행과 평가 모두 실패한 영화가 되버리고 말았습니다. 그린랜턴이 망해서 DC는 마블에게 주도권을 뺏긴 것이라고 보시면 됩니다.

제가 가장 좋아하는 DC영화 맨오브스틸(2013)입니다. IMAX 상영관에서 봤는데, 슈퍼맨의 액션이란 정말 환상적이었습니다.
My favorite DC movie of Steel (2013). I saw it at the IMAX Theater, Superman's action was fantastic.

이 영화도 잭스나이더가 감독을 맡았는데요, 잭스나이더 특유의 액션이 슈퍼맨이라는 캐릭터와 완벽하게 맞아떨어졌고 박력있는 전투장면이 많아서 눈이 즐거웠습니다. 개인적으로는 슈퍼맨 리턴즈보다 훨씬 재밌다고 생각합니다.
This movie was directed by Jack Snyder. Jack Snyder's unique action perfectly matches the character Superman, and I have a lot of powerful battle scenes and my eyes were fun. Personally, I think it is much more interesting than Superman Returns.

맨오브스틸을 시작으로 DC는 자신들의 세계관을 만들기 시작했습니다.
Starting with Man of Steel, DC began to make their own world view.

지금 보이는 포스터는 올해 개봉한 로건과 개봉을 앞두고 있는 원더우먼, 저스티스 리그의 포스터입니다.

작년에 나온 배트맨 대 슈퍼맨(뱃슈) 수어사이드 스쿼드(수스쿼) 가 혹평을 받았지만 두 영화 모두 손익분기점은 넘겼다고 합니다.
Last year, Batman v Superman(Bat v Sup), Suicide Squad(SusQ), was criticized, but both movies turned out to have gone beyond profit margins.

뱃슈는 개봉 첫 주 1억 6600만 달러의 수익을 냈으나 2주차부터 엄청난 흥행 하락세를 보였습니다. 최종적으로 전 세계 흥행 수익 8억 달러를 돌파하였지만 그것은 아쉬운 성적표였습니다. 고급 재료를 사용하여 평범한 요리를 만든 느낌이라고 해야 될까요?
Bat v Sup made a profit of $ 433 million in opening week, but has seen a huge drop in sales from two weeks ago. Eventually exceeding $ 800 million worldwide but That was disappointing news. It feels like making ordinary dishes using fine ingredients.

저는 뱃슈 확장판을 봤습니다. 전 볼만 하다는 느낌을 받았으나 많은 분들이 실망하셨던 것 같습니다.
I saw Bat v Sup extended version. I got the feeling it was worth seeing but I guess many people were disappointed.

2016년 8월에는 DC의 악당들이 뭉쳐서 세상을 구하는 이야기를 다룬 수어사이드 스쿼드가 개봉을 했는데요.
In August 2016, Suicide Squad, the story of DC's villains gathering and saving the world, was released.

영국의 전설적인 밴드 퀸의 보헤미안 랩소디가 나오는 예고편을 봤을 때 “드디어 올 것이 왔구나” 이런 생각이 들었습니다.
When I saw a trailer featuring Bohemian Rhapsody which sang by legendary band Queen, I thought Is DC finally successful?

하지만.... 뚜껑을 열어보니 전 당황했습니다. 영화를 본 뒤 기억에 남는 것은 할리퀸 하나였거든요.
평가도 좋지 않았습니다. 배트맨 대 슈퍼맨보다 못하다는 소리가 나왔으니까요.
But..... I was embarrassed when I saw the movie. After watching the movie, it was a Harley Quinn that remained in my memory.
Evaluation was not good. It was said that it was less than Bat v Sup.

하지만 흥행에 성공했습니다. 이런 것이 팬덤의 위력인 걸까요?
But I was successful in the box office. Is this the power of fandom?

수스쿼는 제작비 1억 7500만 달러에 3배가 넘는 7억 달러가 넘는 수익을 거뒀고 속편이 예정되어 있습니다.
SusQ has earned more than $ 700 million profit, more than tripled to $ 175 million in production costs and is scheduled for a sequel.

총 흥행수익 7억 4,500만 달러에서 제작비와 마케팅 비용, 배우 출연료 등을 제외한 순수익이 1억 5,895달러라고 합니다.
Total revenues are $ 745 million, net profit is $ 158,895, excluding production costs, marketing costs, and actor fee.

올해는 원더우먼과 저스티스리그가 개봉합니다. 과연 이 두 영화가 DC의 구겨진 자존심을 펴줄 수 있을까요?

(제가 한가지 잘못 알려드린 것이 있습니다, 제가 저번 글에서 어벤저스1의 순수익에 대해 이야기 했는데요. 마케팅비용과 배우 출연료 등을 고려하지 않았습니다. 따라서 출연료와 마케팅 비용을 고려하면 각 영화 수익은 많이 줄어들더군요. 조금 더 자세히 알아봤어야 하는데 미흡했네요, 죄송합니다.)

(I gave the wrong information. I talked about the net profit of Avengers 1 in the last article. We didn't consider the marketing cost and the paychecks of the actors. Considering performance and marketing costs, profit for movie is much less.
I should have looked a little more closely, I'm sorry)
