1 MILE TO YOU (MOVIE REVIEW 2017) ROMANCE/DRAMA

Recently I have received terrible news regarding a family members health. Not experienced in this type of family crisis, I have turned to movies that share harsh life realities and events, to help me rationalise what is going on in my life right now..

This new Stan new release really hit the spot for me right now. The movie centres around a super talented track college star. The athlete shares an idealistic romance with a girl who is truly the love of his life..

A school tragedy occurs which literally affect the entire school, and in particular Kevin & Ellie, the main stars.

Kevin now must traverse the road through heartbreak, to hope, to motivation, and hopefully to joy once again.

I highly related to this movie, in the sense that sport plays an interesting part and place in Kevins attempt to distract and find purpose in life.

Overall, the movie is not just a tear jerker, rather it is a highly probable reality to a young person in this big awkward game called life. For me the surprising star of the film is Kevins new track coach, who is just a full on character, imagine Kramer from Seinfeld, as a track & field coach. (well sort of!)

Life is tough, life can be unfair, life can be beautiful. If you feel inclined to watch this movie, I am sure it will not disappoint, and it may even help you if you are dealing with some kind of life tragedy yourself. If you are undecided, here is the offical trailer below
